Salers - Midland Bull Test, April 6, 2011 - at the test facility near Columbus, Montana. Don't miss our consignments! Three outstanding sons of OPP Frontier 771T, a former Midland Bull Test graduate - a high marbling, high gaining bull with tremendous milk. We have the High ADG Green Tag (low birth weight) Salers bull in 2011.

We had the honor of having the World Champion Pen of PB & FB Salers Bulls in 2005 and the World Champion Pen of PB & FB Bulls in 2006 with our herdsire TSB Polled Grizzly 39M. Consistent performance in consecutive years - a feat that is hard to accomplish with the tops coming out of herds from across the U.S. Salers cattle offer unmatched quality traits for range cows including calving ease, calf vigor, weaning performance, maternal abilities and longevity. Plus the added benefit of efficiency, health and performance in the feedyard with grade and yield on the rail.

Past Results - We had the highest gaining Salers bull on test at Midland at the conclusion of the 2007 test. His data is tremendous across the board. Thanks to Deichmann Livestock for their purchase of MJB Vision 240S.

We also have one of the highest marbling bulls in the sale - Lot 980 - with a 4.35%IMF to ratio 134.
Lot 976 an Opportunity son is leading the pack with an ADG of 4.50 to ratio 133 on gain. A 14.2 REA and a 119 ratio on Marbling!
Lot 978 a W Power Boss 203P son gained 3.46 ADG to ratio 102. A 12.8 REA with a 117 %IMF ratio.
Lot 979, a W Power Boss 203P son had a 3.67 ADG to ratio 108. 13.0 REA and 3.16 %IMF.
Lot 980, a BC Emblazon son gained 3.56 ADG during the 120 day test to ratio 105. A 12.9 REA with a 134 Marbling ratio(4.35 %IMF)!
Lot 981, a son of Independence finished the test with a 3.58 ADG to ratio 106. A 14.7 REA with 3.24 Marbling!

The top three bulls from MJB average a 3.92 ADG, while all 5 of our bulls that sold in the sale April 4th have an ADG of 3.75 to ratio an average 111. All 5 bulls selling have an average WDA of 3.29, a Midland Bull Test Index of 109.4 and a 36 cm scrotal circumference.

Our high percentage spring-born South Devon bulls are again being offered through the Midland Bull Test annual sale. In 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009 and again in 2010 we took home some of the top awards with performance from our top South Devon bulls. You won't want to miss our consignments for the 2011 sale. We have the High ADG and WDA Sire Groups and High ADG and WDA Individual Bulls with sons of MJB Romeo 125R!
South Devon cattle are the most tender beef breed as tested by the US Meat Animal Research Center in Clay Center, Nebraska, and many of our beef customers! South Devon are an English breed that marbles like many Angus and Red Angus, yet yield like a 1/2 blood Continental. Recently, they had the largest average ribeye area of all the breeds at Midland 4 years running. We will also be offering a selection of fall-born bulls at the Big Country Breeders Annual Sale in December at the Midland Bull Test Facility near Columbus.

Past Results! - Our South Devon bulls did great at Midland 2007!!!
We had the top sire group for Average Daily Gain and WDA with our Hustler 810H sons.
MJB also has the #2 Sire Group for ADG and WDA with our Royal Lad 21 sons.
Lot 1176, a black, polled fullblood is the High ADG bull on test at 4.77 pounds per day to ratio 147.
Lot 1168, a red polled fullblood gained 3.98 ADG to ratio 122.
Lot 1173, a red, polled 87.5% bull gained 3.93 ADG with a ratio of 121.

The High WDA bull is also owned by MJB.
Lot 1199, a red polled son of Apollo has a WDA of 3.68 and gained 4.48 on test to ratio 141.
